Waymond Smith

Waymond (Pete) Smith was born into this world on May 09, 1938, to Fred & Glenna Mae Smith in Hobbs, New Mexico. He passed from this earth on May 14, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas.

Waymond was a proud Hobbs High School graduate. He was a retired educator and administrator. He taught and worked in Hobbs, Santa Fe, and Las Cruses, New Mexico during his career. He met and made many friends throughout his career and life.  Pete enjoyed the open road and visiting friends and family along the way to his destinations.

He is survived by his wife Mary Louise (Tootie) Smith of Clovis, New Mexico, a daughter Susan Valles, son Mike (Paula) Smith, grandchildren Lisa (Adam) Hicks, Richard Valles, Kyle Smith, Kelly Smith, a sister Jean Klebold, and numerous relatives and friends.
