Aijolon Jamal Medrano “AJ” was Born September 3rd 1994 in Seminole, Texas, and passed away on September 16,2022 in Hobbs, New Mexico. A funeral service in his honor will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at The First United Methodist Church in Hobbs at 2pm. Family and friends are welcome on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 12-7pm at Griffin Funeral Home to visit and pay their respects. During the visitation there will be an open mic from 4-6pm and a recitation of the rosary starting at 6.
AJ is survived by his wife, Azenette Quiroz and 3 kids Avalyn Medrano, Aijolon Medrano (Juice) and Avery Medrano, parents Ramon Medrano and Mary Barron, brother Olajuwon Medrano, sisters Raylyyn Medrano and Jeidi Medrano, biological mother Raquel Hurston. and grandparents Jesus Medrano and Dora Medrano.
AJ has a wide variety of interests including night fishing, video games, low riders, cruising on his motorcycle, listening to music and traveling with his family. He also greatly enjoyed shopping and most of all he loved his wife’s cooking. He was a loving father, husband, and friend. AJ loved bonding with his friends and family and would keep in touch with all of his friends no matter the distance. He had a heart of gold. AJ was without judgement, so full of love and compassion always ready and willing to help anyone in need. He touched the hearts of many with his bright personality and contagious laugh. He was the life of the party and the center of attention everywhere he went. AJ was preceded in death by his tia Daisy Medrano.
