Apolinar Castillo

Apolinar “Polo” Castillo was born on July 23, 1954, in San Antonio Del Bravo to Librado and Virginia Castillo. He married his beloved wife Connie Castillo in 1973. Apolinar passed away on May 13, 2023, in Kermit, Texas at the age of 68. He was a resident of Hobbs, New Mexico.

As a young man Polo worked on a ranch. He loved being around horses and cattle so much, that he participated in many rodeos. Polo also worked in the oilfield for over 30 years until he started his own business and retired shortly after. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. During his pass times, he enjoyed watching his “cowboy” movies, going to the casino, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Polo is preceded in death by his son Polo Castillo, his parents Librado and Virginia Castillo, his brother Charlie Castillo, and his sister Lucy Chavez.

He is survived by his wife Connie Castillo, his three daughters Nancy Martinez, (and 5 grandchildren, Ray Martinez, Klarisa Martinez, Kayla Martinez, Kloey Martinez and Kenzi Cazares, and 2 great grandsons, Joziah Martinez and Fabian Martinez), Nellie Castillo (and 3 grandchildren Nathaniel Reyes, Nyellie Reyes and Navaeh Espinoza), Nora (Freddie) Valeriano (and 2 granddaughters, Kaidy Valeriano and Zoey Valeriano). One son Eddie (Ana) Castillo (and 3 grandchildren, Boston Castillo, Hailey Castillo, and Ethan Castillo).
