Bruce Johnson Ii

Bruce “Buddy” Courtland Johnson II, age 11, returned to his Heavenly Home on July 10th, 2022. He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on September 25th, 2010, but lived most of his childhood on the lake in Kingston, Oklahoma, where he became an avid fisherman.  Known to many family members and friends as “Little Bruce”, he was his dad’s mini-me. Bruce was a gentle giant, intelligent, funny, and had a heart of gold. He completed 4th grade at Coronado Elementary in Hobbs, NM, was a member of Boy Scout Troop 126 and attended First Baptist Church in Kingston, OK.  He was met in heaven by his paternal grandparents Jimmy Johnson and Betty Gail Johnson and his uncle Todd Johnson. Bruce is survived by his parents, Bruce Johnson Sr. and Mary Ann Johnson, sisters Mischelle Curry, Stephanie Griffin, and Kimberly Davis, maternal grandparents Robert and Sharon Truss, multiple nieces and nephews and many friends and loved ones.  Services will be held at Griffin Funeral Home in Hobbs, NM.  Flowers and donations will be accepted in his honor.
