Clara Walters

Clara L Walters, of Hobbs, passed away on May 22,2022 at the age of 94. She was born on October 17, 1927 in Olton, Texas to Henry George and Callie Naomi Scheller. A Graveside service is scheduled for Friday May 27, 2022 at Prairie Haven Cemetery at 10am. Family and friends are welcome at Griffin Funeral Home on Thursday from 1-7pm to pay their respects. Clara was a devoted wife and mother; she married the love of her life in 1942 and they spent many wonderful years together raising a family of three children, two nieces and two nephews, until his passing.  She was also very devoted to her church and attended Grace Lutheran for many years. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her loving husband Arlin D. Walters, children of her heart Gary Walters and Penny Fish, as well as her numerous siblings.

Left to treasure her memory are her children Richard (Barbara) Walters, Robbie (Debbie) Walters and Nita (Bob) Chaney, children of her heart Alvin (Bobby Jo) Walters and Sherry Waggoner, 14 grandchildren and countless great grandchildren.
