Curtis Gist

Curtis Dwight Gist, of Hobbs, passed away on Christmas Eve 2022, at his home. He was born October 18, 1958 to Pete and Jeanne Gist in Pueblo, Colorado. A memorial service in his honor will be held on January 3, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Home at 10am. Online condolences may be made at www.griffinfuneralhomehobbs.com.

Curtis grew up in Colorado with his brothers, and in the mid 90’s moved to Hobbs to pursue his career. He started right away as the grocery manager at Albertsons, where he stayed until his retirement in the fall of this year. Curtis was a proud father, a hard worker and an avid collector. He will be dearly missed.

Preceding him in passing are his father Pete, and his brother Lance Gist.

Left to remember him always are his mother Jeanne Gist, son Cameron Gist, and brothers Roger and Steve Gist. He is also survived by a host of extended family, friends and the whole of his Albertsons family.
