Gloria Alvarado

Gloria J Alvarado, 64, was called home by our Lord and savior on February 1st, 2021 at Covenant Health Hospital in Lubbock TX with her family by her side. Gloria was born on March 19th, 1956 to Pablin and Angelina Jimenez. She was born and raised in Roswell NM along with her siblings. On November 23, 1977 in Carlsbad, NM she married Pete C Alvarado. Gloria was a loving wife/mother/grandmother and so much more whom along with her husband together raised three sons. Gloria was a homemaker who always put her family first. She loved her family very much. For anyone that knew Gloria, knew she always had a smile that welcomed you along with open arms. She loved family dinners and getting the grandchildren together. Gloria was a strong believer in her faith, and always went above and beyond. She was loved by so many and was a beautiful soul. Gloria will be missed dearly
She is survived by her husband Pete C Alvarado and sons Paul, Peter, Matthew and wife Rosa Alvarado,  “daughter” Michelle Alvarado, Sister Pauline and husband Joe Ponce, brothers Bartolo and wife LouAnn Jimenez and Jimmy and wife Mary Ann Jimenez.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren whom she loved very much. Gloria was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and so many more. Gloria will never be forgotten! We love you so much, and we will always be here for you!

Funeral mass and Rosary is scheduled for 10 am, Wednesday February 10th, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 914 south Selman Hobbs NM, 88240 Burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Cemetery 2101 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs NM 88240
Viewing will be 10am- 3pm Tuesday February 9th, 2021 at Griffin Funeral Home 401 North Dalmont, Hobbs NM 88240 Pallbearers will be Eriq Alvarado, Jacob Alvarado, Matthew Alvarado, Jonathan Alvarado, Adrian Campos, Joseph Ponce She was preceded in death by her parents Pablin and Angelina Jimenez, brother Arthur Jimenez, nephew Michael Ponce, in laws Jesus G Alvarado and Adelaida C Alvarado.
