Lucille Carter

Lucille T. Carter, of Humble City, passed away on August 14, 2022 surrounded by those who love her. She was born January 27, 1944 in Gore, Oklahoma to Loy and Lavada Tramell. A graveside service in her honor will be held 11am on August 18, 2022 at Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Lucille was a creative and outspoken woman who dearly loved her family. Throughout her life, she worked hard to provide for her two girls, often working multiple jobs to ensure her family never went without. Lucille never lost her zest for life, going to the casino for prizes even during the last six months of her life. She was also an accomplished oil painter in her spare time, and an avid gardener. Lucille’s bright and often goofy sense of humor will be dearly missed.

Preceding her in passing are her parents, Loy and Lavada, siblings Martha Carter, Russell Tramell and Ronald Tramel.

Left to treasure the memories she left behind are her daughters Rebecca Mazar and Angela Bennett both of Hobbs, brothers Orville Tramell of Humble City, David Tramell of Snyder, Texas, Ralph Tramell of Hobbs, sisters Ramona Maypole and Ruth VanWinkle both of Hobbs. As well as 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who love her.
